Invented and designed by Dr. Laura Pettler, this system is built for two purposes: field based bloodstain reconstruction and courtroom demonstratives.
In the field, MOTIF™ supports laser assisted reconstruction of impact spatter events to analyze directionality, convergence, and event sequencing. In court or training environments, it functions as a structured demonstrative to visually communicate bloodstain reconstruction concepts and investigative findings.
This is a professional system intended to help users show their work, not simply state conclusions.
MOTIF™ serves as the foundational kit within Dr. Pettler’s bloodstain laser reconstruction line. Users may expand capability through Verve and future upgrade components.
