Kaleidoscope Testimonials

  • I have been using the Kaleidoscope Reconstruction System for several years now. This system is one of a kind and far surpasses other kits on the market. This kit is built for longevity, is self-contained in a hard case making it easily portable and contains all the necessary tools to complete a thorough and comprehensive shooting scene reconstruction. I highly recommend the Kaleidoscope System to anyone engaged in the investigation of shooting and bloodstain scenes. This system makes documentation and reconstruction of scenes easier, streamlines the reconstruction process and provides for a better-quality presentation of the case.

  • As a crime scene investigator and educator for over 20 years I'm proud to use Dr Pettler's expertise and forensic products especially her kaleidoscope kit for shooting reconstruction. Many of the tools in this kit are cutting edge, precise and innovative. The kit makes the shooting reconstruction process easier and with precision to be able to re-enact the series of events and the ability to demonstrate this process effectively to others. I'm always impressed with Dr. Pettler and associates and their ability to utilize innovation for forensic work and to share that knowledge with the rest of us.

  • Dr. Pettler's Kaleidoscope is hands down the most efficient, time saving, and well manufactured equipment I’ve used when processing any shooting related crime scene. The Kaleidoscope has proven its success with multiple shooting cases I’ve worked. I strongly believe that every Crime Scene Unit should have a Kaleidoscope Kit on hand!

  • The real issue at any crime scene is the effectiveness and easy of the equipment that you utilize. Time is always on a supervisor's mind but more important is the effectiveness and quality of the work itself. I can honestly say that Kaleidoscope is not only unique but far above any other trajectory system I have used. For example, I was called out to a shooting that was next to a day care building. Even though it was late at night, getting the information correct was crucial in the investigation. By using the dowel rods and the laser pointers that were different colors, it was easy to establish from where the bullets came from and in turn verified one suspect's statement and disproved another’s testimony. When presented with the facts the suspect with the false statement confessed. Equipment in forensics comes and goes and normally gets better through time, yet Dr. Pettler's Kaleidoscope System has stood the test of time. It is as good today as it was when she launched it and with the advance training of our technicians, I see only great things for its future. List Item

  • Today, prosecutors face tight budgets and more discerning and demanding jurors. Every night Hollywood educates jurors on the criminal justice system. Unfortunately, Hollywood does not pattern their shows after the reality of criminal investigations. As a prosecutor, I learned long ago that I do not have enough time in a typical jury trial to educate jurors on the reality of the criminal justice system. So instead, I started using juror-expectations to my advantage: I asked, 'How can I bring a little Hollywood into my courtroom?' Kaleidoscope was one of those low cost no brainers for me as a prosecutor. Using Kaleidoscope, I can bring crimes to life in the minds of the jurors in a cost effective and vivid way. Kaleidoscope helps the investigator solve a case and it helps the prosecutor win it.
